The history of the College library is as old as the college and it has progressed tremendously along with the college since 1968. The primary role of the college library is to collect and organize the library collection to meet the needs of teacher educators and teacher trainees. Apart from this, it also assists its users in enhancing and updating their knowledge and skills and provides them with information regarding innovations and research in education. Various programs are organized in the library such as orientation programs, book exhibitions and displays of new arrivals to acquaint the pupil teachers towards library collection, and service and to inculcate the reading habits among them. Pupil teachers visit the library regularly.

The library caters to the needs of users by providing the following facilities:

·     The computer section has 12 computers with internet connectivity

·     One photocopier is available for the students and staff

·      Internet with Wi-Fi connectivity is available in the library

·     Reference material like Encyclopaedia, dictionaries, dissertations, reference books etc.

·  Book bank facility is also available for needy and meritorious students

·      The periodical section has various journals and back volumes

·       Reading Sections for B.Ed. and M.Ed. separately

Circulation of reading material is one of the basic functions of any library. The college library also provides a circulation service to its users.

Library Rules

·        Identity cards are mandatory in the college and library.

·       Loss of Identity card/library card should be immediately reported to the library administration. A duplicate card may be obtained from the Library for nominal charges.

·       Lost or damaged books shall have to be replaced with the same title/ author/ publication or their double price shall be charged.

·     Borrowers should not write anything on a book, periodical or other material belonging to the library.

·       Students should keep their bags on the property counter. The library will not be responsible for any damage, loss, etc.

·         Maintain silence inside the library.

·         Cell phones should be on silent mode in the library.

·         Consult the library staff if you are not able to locate any book or reading material.
